Gregory W. White, 76, peacefully passed away in the early morning hours of May 3, 2026, after a hard fought battle with cancer.
Greg was born November 8th, 1949, to the late William E and Lois K (Heather) White and was a lifelong resident of Massillon. Greg was a 1968 graduate of Massillon Washington, served his country in the Ohio National Guard and joined The Timken Company, from which he retired in 2009.
Greg is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Carole (McCune) and children Stacie White (Alejandro Ruiz) , Julie (David) Neal, Karen (Matthew) Mulcahey, and Mark (Brittany) White. Greg is also survived by his 9 grandchildren Tyler, Quentin, Andrew, Jensen, Brogan, William, Sullivan, Madelyn and Ian, who were his absolute joys and you could always find him supporting them at their various sports and activities.
Greg is also survived by his two brothers, Larry (Mary) White and Keith (Kristi) White, in-laws James (Carolyn) McCune, Kenneth (Laurie) McCune, Linda (David) Baker, a host of nieces and nephews, Uncle Richard (Beverly) White, Aunt Joann Heather, cousins and extended family and friends.
His loving heart, witty personality and gifted talents he generously shared with others will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, Massillon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. John Sheridan on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 10:00 am at Divine Mercy Parish, St. Barbara. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Memory Garden.
The family would like to thank Aultman Hospice, especially Laura and Tracey, for the wonderful care and support provided to Greg and the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or Aultman Hospice.
