Gary Stewart

Gary Lee Stewart, 70, of Navarre, passed away on August 12, 2026 at Aultman Hospital surrounded by his family.

He was born on June 15, 1956 to the late Carl and Norma (Rush) Stewart in Canton, OH.

Gary was a mobile off-road tire mechanic for Zeigler Tire for decades before becoming an inside salesman who worked on large accounts, from which he would later retire. He was a volunteer fireman with Richville Volunteer Fire Department for five years.

Gary was a big fan of Nascar, always traveling in his RV to attend a race whenever he could with his family and friends. He enjoyed attending country music festivals and riding his motorcycle. He was the life of a party and never knew a stranger; any reason to celebrate was good enough for him. Gary and his family spent many summers camping at Springwood Lake Camp Club.

In 2016, he married the late Roxann (Kegley) Stewart, with whom he enjoyed many years of marriage with.

Gary is survived by his loving daughters, Brandi (Jason Sterling) Stewart, Chassity (Robert) Crutchfield, and Carla Sandy; grandchildren Ayden, Camden, and Zora; sisters Carletta (John) Fondriest, and Cris (Steve) Fondriest; and many extended family members.

In addition to his parents, Gary is preceded in death by his wife, Roxann, sister Debbie Highben, and his beloved dogs Gordon and Jasmine.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
