Frank Martin Shimones

Frank Shimones, 83 of Massillon passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Mercy Hospital after a long health battle.

He is a preceded in death by his mother and father, Frank and Eva Shimones, his beloved Uncle Martin Paliokas and his brothers-in-law, David Coates and William Ludwig.

Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Mary (Ginther) Shimones, his sons, Frank (Stacey) Shimones, David (Tricia) Shimones, Paul (Stacey) Shimones, his sister, Sandra (Shimones) Coates, his beautiful grandchildren, Maria (Shimones) Vander Meulen, Vincent Shimones, Ethan and Zoe Shimones and Victoria Shimones. One great granddaughter, Amaya Vander Meulen and a great grandson, Henry Vander Meulen, due April of 2026.

Cremation has taken place. No local services will be held. A celebration of life will be held in Michigan where Frank and Mary spent years of their life. Announcements will be mailed of the celebration's date and time to all family and friends. Rest in Peace to our beloved Frank.

Memorial donations in Frank's honor may be made to Humane Society of Huron Valley.
