Faye Terman Wenger, age 76, of Massillon, Ohio, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on October 2, 2026.
Faye was born on March 8, 1950, in Cambridge, Ohio. She graduated from Aultman School of Nursing in 1970. She later graduated with honors from the Ohio State University School of Nursing, earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 1982. She worked in patient care, teaching, and administration.
She married the love of her life, Bill Wenger, on October 20, 1984. They were married for 41 (almost 42!) wonderful years. As a couple, they truly embodied God’s plan for marriage, that “two would become one.” They faithfully served each other and their church families for the entirety of their marriage. Bill and Faye delighted in serving together at various churches throughout their marriage, including Granger Missionary Church in Granger, Indiana; Wilmore Free Methodist Church in Wilmore, Kentucky; Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Chagrin Falls, Ohio; and most recently, NewPointe Community Church in Canton.
Faye loved Jesus with everything that she had and was a faithful servant to all who knew her. While she and Bill never had children of their own, she was a mother, a grandmother, and even a great-grandmother to many who were a part of her church family. “Miss Faye” loved people the way Jesus loves them, relentlessly. She was always noticing and responding to the needs of others, never asking for recognition or anything else in return. No one was a stranger to Faye, and no one was invisible. She made everyone feel truly seen.
It is hard to find words to describe the amazing blessing that Faye was in the lives of all who knew her. She reflected the love of Jesus to everyone she encountered. Her absence certainly leaves a void in so many hearts, yet her impact will reach far beyond what could ever be measured. The many who knew and loved Faye deeply mourn her loss here on earth yet, at the same time, joyfully celebrate her arrival at her forever home with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Faye is survived by her husband, Bill Wenger, and two nephews, Rob (Victoria) Eggeman and Robert Terman. She was preceded in death by her father, the Rev. Robert S. Terman; her mother, Donna Blair Terman; her sister, Christine Baker; her brother, Chuck Terman; and her nephew, Chad Eggeman.
We will gather together to celebrate Faye’s life on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at NewPointe Community Church in Canton (5305 Broadmoor Cir NW, Canton, OH 44709). Calling hours will begin at 3 p.m., followed by a celebration service at 4 p.m. and a reception beginning at 5 p.m.
Flowers can be sent to NewPointe Community Church in Canton. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Safe Harbor Ohio, P.O. Box 8631, Canton, OH 44711.
