Evelyn Mae Dingler, age 86 of Massillon, died on Thursday, November 26, 2009 at Affinity Medical Center in Massillon. She was born on April 10, 1923 in Massillon and was the daughter of the late John and Mabel (Hose) Bonk. She was a lifelong area resident. Evelyn was a 1941 graduate of Washington High School and remained active with the WHS Alumni Association. She enjoyed volunteering at the Massillon Museum where she was also a member. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Douglas Dingler, three brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her husband, Milton D. Dingler with whom she would have celebrated 64 years of marriage on December 18th, her children and their spouses, Cynthia and Thomas Eberhardt of Canal Fulton, Susan and Dion Norman of Columbus, Jeffrey and Deborah Dingler of Massillon and Scott and Pamela Dingler of Jackson Township. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. A service to celebrate the life of Evelyn Mae Dingler will take place on Monday, November 30th at 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. Memorials may be made in her name to either the Massillon Museum or the Washington High School Alumni Association Scholarship Fund.
