Ernest Wheeler, a beloved member of the community, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on December 26, 1959, he brought joy and warmth to the lives of those around him, embodying a spirit of love and kindness that resonated with family and friends alike.
Ernest was known for his profound love for his family and friends. He cherished the connections he made throughout his life and took great pride in the bonds he shared. Ernest is survived by his sisters: Valeria Burns, Edie Saunders, and Doris White; brother, Carl Saunders; step-sisters, Melissa Zenallis and Chaquita; and special cousin, Diane Rolland. Ernest is also survived by many other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, June Saunders, father, Ernest Wheeler, Sr.; sister Phyllis Autrey; and special aunt, Marcella Blunt, all of whom he held dear in his heart.
Ernest Wheeler will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched. His warmth, humor, and steadfast dedication to his family and friends leave an indelible mark on their hearts, a legacy that will continue to thrive in their memories.
Ernest's legacy is one of compassion and loving support, qualities that will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the home health aids who took care of Ernie until his last days.
A visitation in his honor will take place on January 2, 2026, from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home located at 1100 Wales Rd NE, Massillon, OH 44646. The funeral service will immediately follow from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, culminating with a graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery, 1827 Erie Street South, Massillon, OH 44646.
