Erma L. Young

Erma L. Young, 90 of Massillon, passed away Monday morning at St. Luke’s Lutheran Home. Erma was born on September 1, 1915 in Massillon to Herbert and Norma (Shearer) Krisher. She graduated from Washington High School with the Class of 1933 and Massillon Commercial Institute. She was a former member of the Friends of Massillon Public Library, Massillon Women’s Club for over 50 years, Massillon Rotary Ann’s, Spring Hill, Massillon Museum, Massillon Heritage Foundation and the Lady Elm’s Golf Association. Erma was a life time member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church where she was baptized, confirmed and married. She was also a member of Peace Circle and primary grades Sunday School teacher for 40 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Louis C. Young with whom she had shared 54 years of married life. She was also preceeded in death by two brothers, Glenn and Don Krisher. She is survived by her children, Linda & Gary A. Miller of Massillon and Trevor A. & Sally Young of Murrysville, PA; 9 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
