Emily O'Dell

Emily Joan O'Dell, 75, of Massillon, passed away peacefully on June 3rd, 2026 after a lengthy illness.

She was born on November 20, 1950 to the late Kenneth Walker O'Dell and Gladys Mae (Stoop) O'Dell in Trenton, NJ.

Emily was an avid crafter; she was especially talented at making cards for birthdays and other special occasions in her craft club. In her youth, she was an equestrian; she was also a dog lover throughout her life.

She married Kenneth Engle in 2009; they lived together in Akron before moving to Massillon in 2016.

She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Massillon.

Emily is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth; daughter Heide (Jerry) Bringman; granddaughter Piper Bringman; step-daughters Christine (Phillip) Creed and Leslie (David) Eberly; step-grandchildren Liam Johal, Alexander Eberly, and Makayla Eberly; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by five older siblings.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, from 3:00 to 3:30 pm at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, Massillon, Ohio. Friends and family may call and gather at the funeral home immediately following the service from 3:30 to 5:00 pm.
