Elaine P. Robinson, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully passed away on January 21, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on October 5, 1934, Elaine lived a life rich with love, dedication, and community service.
Elaine graduated from North Canton High School and furthered her education for two years at Canton Business School before embarking on a commendable career as an Administrator for Tom Robinson Builders, where she served with diligence until her retirement. Her professional life was marked by her unwavering commitment to excellence and leadership.
In addition to her career, Elaine was deeply engaged with her community. She attended Grace United Church of Christ, where she not only participated in worship but also served as a secretary, embodying the spirit of service. Elaine was passionate about volunteering her time to help others, dedicating herself to causes close to her heart. She volunteered at the Massillon Community Hospital, and she embraced her role as an instructor and volunteer at the YMCA, where she served on local, state, and national boards, which showcased her leadership skills and her commitment to fostering community well-being. She was the first female representative of YMCA for the Midwest United States. She established a memorial exercise center in memory of her beloved daughter Jody K. Robinson at the YMCA in Massillon.
Other than her involvement with the community, Elaine also enjoyed several hobbies including golfing, playing cards, teaching bridge, and spending time at Piedmont lake with her family and friends.
Elaine’s warmth and generosity extended beyond her professional and volunteer endeavors. She cherished her family deeply and took immense pride in their accomplishments. She is survived by her loving sons, Robert (Karen) Robinson and David (Jill) Robinson, as well as her cherished grandchildren: Brian (Calen) Robinson, Danny (Emily) Robinson, Sarah (Zachary) Passwaters, and Jessica (Nathan) Robinson McNees. Elaine was a proud great-grandmother to Diana, Brooks, Brayden, and Wren.
Elaine was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Thomas Robinson, as well as her parents, Franklin L. Wolfe and Helen B. Wolfe. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Ben Wolfe, and her daughter, Jody K. Robinson.
In reflecting upon Elaine's life, we remember a woman who was a beacon of love and support, whose legacy will undoubtedly continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her life was a beautiful tapestry woven with family, faith, service, and creativity, and she will be profoundly missed.
