Edward W. Bell, a man of steadfast faith, deep devotion to family, and lifelong resident of Massillon, Ohio, surrounded by his loving family, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 25, 2026. Born on November 15, 1940, to the late Malcolm and Bertha (Ziegelhoffer) Bell. 

In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by his brother, Jon Bell, and his sister, Mae (Bell) Alexander. 

Edward embodied the hardworking and community-focused spirit of his hometown throughout his entire life. Edward grew up in the area and attended Massillon Washington High School. Soon after, he dedicated his professional life to Massillon Steel Castings, where his strong work ethic and dependability defined his career until his well-earned retirement. 

An active and disciplined man, Edward loved working out and staying fit. He also possessed a passion for craftsmanship and precision, spending many dedicated hours building and shooting rifles. Beyond his hobbies, Edward’s true calling was his devotion to others. He was a pillar of strength for his family and a loyal, great friend to many. Above all, Edward was a man of profound faith, who lived his life with an open heart, always eager and willing to share the message of Jesus with everyone he met. 

Edward shares a life of beautiful memories with his beloved wife of 63 years, Diane (Peterson) Bell. He was a proud and loving father to his two sons, Matthew and Kenneth Bell, and a cherished grandfather to his three grandsons, Evan, Cayden, and Kenny, who brought immense joy to his life.

A service celebrating Edward's life and faith will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 107 6th St, Massillon, June 27th, services will begin at 11am. Faith Lutheran will be hosting a family meal after the service. All in attendance are welcome to join in the meal after the service. All who knew Edward are welcome to come, gather, and share in the remembrance of a truly remarkable man.
