Edmund D. Grace

Edmund D. Grace, born October 24, 1934, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2026.

Edmund was a graduate of Doylestown High School and went on to build a long and steady career as a welder with Republic Engineered Steel. He worked there for many years before retiring in 1999. He will be remembered as a man who loved his family, a devotion that remained central throughout his life. Edmund was a very avid member of the Stark County Bicycle Club where he took pride in leading rides in a way that made new members feel more welcome. His fellow members were like a second family to him.

He is survived by his children, Don (Brenda) Grace, Penny (Bill) Schieferstein, and Jeffrey (Wendy) Grace; sisters, Darlene Grace and Goldie Grace; seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. In their lives and memories, his love for family continues on, and his presence will be cherished by those who knew him best.

He was preceded in death by his Loving wife of 38 years, Darla Grace; twin brother, Arlan Grace; father, Robert E. Grace; and mother, Bessie M. Grace.

Edmund D. Grace will be remembered with respect, gratitude, and love by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff at Amherst Meadows, Crossroads Hospice, and to his Taylor St. neighbors for all of their support.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on October 2, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, 1100 Wales Rd NE, Massillon, Ohio 44646. A funeral service will follow there at 11:30 a.m. A graveside service will also be held on October 2, 2026, at Newman Creek Cemetery, 14845 Orrville Street Northwest, North Lawrence, Ohio 44666.
