Duane L. Fildes

Duane L. Fildes Sr., age 80 passed away on September 07, 2016. He was born on June 27, 1936 to the late LeGrande and Vernice Fildes in Canton, OH. He married Donna (Howell) Stephan on June 27, 1987 and they shared over 29 years together. Duane served 4 years in the U. S. Navy. He retired from Local 94, plumbers, pipefitters and refrigeration. He loved boating, fishing and traveling, but most of all he loved being with his family and friends. He enjoyed spending winters in Florida. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Duane L. "Jay" Fildes, Jr. Duane is survived by his wife Donna (Howell) Fildes, formerly Stephan; his daughters Lisa (Mike) Dexter and Robyne (Kevin) Huffman; his sons Craig (Joyce) Fildes and Vincent Fildes. Also surviving are Lori Stephan, Rob (Pam) Stephan, Dan (Agnes) Stephan and Randy (Carol) Stephan, 19 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, his brother, Gary Milner, 2 sisters, Beth Ann (Bob) McFadden and Deborah (Bob) May and a host of family and friends. A service to celebrate his life will take place on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home with Celebrant Gary Smith officiating. In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
