Dorothy M. Smith

Dorothy M. Smith, age 90 of Perry Township, died on Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Affinity Medical Center. She was born on March 12, 1920 and was the daughter of the late Samuel and Estella (Metzger) Smith. For 45 years, Dorothy worked as the payroll supervisor at the former Timken Mercy Hospital. She was a member at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and A.A.R.P. #3336. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Gertrude Schillig and her brothers in law Edward Smith and Herman Schillig. Dorothy is survived by her sister Rose Smith of Canton and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon with Rev. Fr. William Kraynack officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Tuesday from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M.
