Donna J. Madaffer

Donna J. Madaffer, age 72, of Massillon passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2007 at the Affinity Medical Center-Doctors Campus. She was born on March 19, 1934 to the late James & Mary Mae (Sommers) Stansberger. After graduating from Washington High School, Donna went to work for Republic Steel where she was a stenographer. In 1960 Donna married the boy next door, Thomas Madaffer. In 1976, after raising her family, Donna went back to work, as a secretary for the United Methodist Bishop where she retired after 25 years. Donna spent the last three years as a secretary for the Massillon Public Library. Donna was an avid bowler & Tiger fan. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir & played in the bell choir. She was preceded in death by her parents & one brother; Carl Stansberger. Survived by Husband Thomas Madaffer of Massillon 1 daughter Lisa Madaffer of Copley 2 sons Michael & Melissa Madaffer of Stow David & Jennifer Madaffer of North Lawrence 4 grandchildren Lyndsay, Evan, Caroline & Sophia 1 brother Howard Stansberger of Massillon 1 sister Velda Clark of New Philadelphia and numerous nieces, nephews & cousins The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 A.M. at Wesley United Methodist Church.
