Donald W. "Donnie" "Uncle D." " Uncle Donnie" Hunter, 74, of Massillon, passed away on September 8, 2024.

He was born on May 20, 1950 to he late Don and Beverly (Rudy) Hunter in Wooster, OH.

A 1968 graduate of Tuslaw High School, and retired after working for Massillon Spring and Rivet and EB Display. Don was a proud veteran of The United States Army. He was an avid NASCAR Fan, loved animals especially dogs, and following stories of animal rescues.

Don is survived by his loving, sister, Nancy Engle; nieces, Christine (Phillip) Creed and Leslie (David) Eberly; great-nephews and niece, Liam Johal, Alex Eberly, and Makayla Eberly; uncle, Robert (Mary Evelyn) Rudy; close friends, Mary Rohr-Pruner and Elizabeth Hoover-Miller; many other friends and acquaintances; and Don's little four legged buddy Riley James.

Friends and family will gather on Monday, September 16, 2024, from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, Massillon, Ohio.

Inurnment will be at a later date in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Stark County Humane Society in Don's name.
