Donald W. Simonson

Donald W. Simonson, 84, of Massillon, Ohio, passed away July 7, 2026 with his family by his side. He was born on January 11, 1942 to the late Wilmer and Caroline Simonson.

Donald was a 1960 graduate of Massillon Washington High School. After graduation, he attended Kent State University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree. He worked as the Director of Labor Relations for the Timken Company where he received a distinguished service award for 31 years and six months of service. Donald enjoyed golfing, playing cards, and spending time in his condo in Myrtle Beach.

In addition to his parents, Donald is preceded in death by his wife, Dawn M. Simonson and step-daughter, Anissa Phillips.

He is survived by his children, Kerry (Mark) Simonson, Kelly Simonson, and KC (Julie)Simonson; step-children, Barrett (Misty) Phillips and Deanna (George) Phillips; and 8 grandchildren.

The family is grateful to Massillon Danbury and their staff for the wonderful care he received in the 18 months he was there. They would also like to thank the Aultman SICU for their care.

A gathering will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, Saturday, August 1, 2026 at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
