Donald Decker, 84, of Canton, passed away while surrounded by his family on January 15, 2026, at The Inn at Belden Village. He was born on June 16, 1941, to Henry and Doris (Kirk) Decker at Massillon, OH. He married Judith Decker (Bettilyon) and were lifelong residents of Massillon and Canton, Ohio.
Donald worked as a Production Analyst and Process Engineer for Crown Cork and Seal and traveled to many of the company’s facilities, fixing and finding solutions for the manufacture of products.
He was a loyal member of Massillon First Assembly of God. Don was part of the team that built the church at its new location. He was a deacon of the Massillon First Assembly of God and assisted with church activities and services regularly. As life moved forward, Don and Judy attended Cross Pointe (formally Bethel Temple) and were very dedicated members.
Don’s hobby was fixing things such as cars, building projects, and fixing those “hard to fix kind of things”. His other pleasure was playing golf, which he played at every chance that he could get. Don was also an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching in person or on the TV.
Don is survived by his loving wife, Judith; his daughter, Valerie (Tim) Leali; his son, Don (Stacey) Decker; and his granddaughters, Tessa and Tori Leali. He was the youngest of 10 children and is survived by many siblings.
He was preceded in death by his parents and several siblings.
Visitation for Don is January 20, 2026, at Cross Pointe, 711 25th St., NW, Canton, OH, starting at 11:00 AM until - 12:00 PM. The Funeral Service will follow at 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM with Pastor Michael Snodgrass officiating.
