Donald A. Carpenter

Donald A. Carpenter, 94, of Dalton, passed away on October 19, 2026 at Danbury of Massillon.

He was born on February 12, 1932 to the late Frantz and Elizabeth (Hopton) Carpenter in Beallsville, OH.

Don was a graduate of Beallsville High School and retired from Harrison Road Fishers Foods after 38 years. He was a member of Canton Baptist Temple. He was a big car enthusiast, and enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed camping, wood working, and NASCAR.

Don is survived by his loving children Gary (Priscilla) Carpenter, Lisa (David) Liggett, Jodi (Ray) Boyle, Mark (Debbie) Carpenter, and Tina (John) Pike; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister Lola (Floyd) Lucido; and special friend Joan Dalessandro.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie A. (Cunard) Carpenter.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 23, 2026, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm with a funeral service starting at 12:00 pm at the Canton Baptist Temple in The Henniger Chapel, Dr. Mike Frazier officiating. Burial will follow in Brookfield Cemetery.
