Della Marie Bullock

Della Marie Bullock, 60, unexpectedly passed away on July 22, 2026. She was born in Akron, Ohio, on June 7, 1966, to the late Albert and Lois (Wood) Knight. Della was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church for many years.

Della graduated from Washington High School, class of 1984. After graduation, Della attended beauty school and became a beautician. She worked as a beautician for many years. She then found herself in the medical field, where she worked for 10 years at Rose Lane Nursing and Rehabilitation. Later, Della decided to go back to school. She then received her bachelor's degree in business. She also received a certificate in phlebotomy. Della then went to work for Doctor Hospital. Della was also a stay-at-home mom, and that was her favorite job.

Her children survive her, Nevaeh (Richard Anderson) Bullock and Kiarrah Bullock, Marques Smith and Jeffrey King (God kids) Antonette Givens and Keyton Brown (adopted kids); her nephews and nieces, Jesse King, Jeff (Kalia) King, Jackie King, Robert (Sherry) King, Rosalind (Aaron) Clark, Reginald (Brenda) Craig, Lynette Craig, Cameron Smith, Steven, Broderick, Tamara Thomas, and D’asia Wright; 25 great-nieces and nephews; 24 great-great-nieces and nephews; and 2 great-great-great-nieces and nephews. Della has one surviving sister, Shirley Renee Thomas, her lifelong friend, Michelle Humphrey, and a special friend, Glenn Allen.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Bullock; a daughter, Latrice Bullock; sister Joyce King; brother-in-law Robert Craig; great-niece, Abigail King; great-nephew Ta’Shaun Smith; sister Shirley Knight; and nephew Glenn Thomas.

To know Della was to witness a life lived fully, with grace and compassion. As her family and friends gather to honor her memory, they celebrate a woman who loved deeply and left an indelible imprint on all who knew her. Her passing leaves a profound void in the lives of her family and friends, yet her spirit endures in the memories she created and the legacy of love she fostered. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

Visitation will take place Friday, August 7, 2026 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Shiloh Baptist Church, with services beginning at 12:00. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery
