In loving memory Deborah Joy (Walsh) Mullins, “Debbie”, age 45, passed away Monday, July 5, 2021. She will be remembered for her joyful personality, beautiful singing voice, and genuine smile. She was a devoted wife, caring mother, beloved sister, and friend to all who crossed her path. She loved the Lord with all her heart and treated everyone in her life with love and kindness. Debbie was born on October 19, 1975, in Massillon, Ohio. She attended Tuslaw High School where she played in the marching band, sang in the choir, and starred in several musicals. After high school she attend Malone College before marrying Jerry Mullins on November 11, 1995, at Sixteen St. John’s Church. After spending several years living in Texas during Jerry’s career in the radio industry, the couple returned to Ohio where she worked as an early education specialist and administrator at Walnut Woods Preschool in Green. She was an enthusiastic teacher and generous educator. She loved her work and had a profound impact on the lives of her many students. Debbie was a selfless caretaker during her mother’s final years while also raising Michael, Sarah, and Kaitlyn, her three beautiful children with Jerry. She was a long-time member and worship leader at Sixteen St. John’s Church and was an active member of Kingdom Living Christian Church. She loved being a mother and joyed at spending time with family and friends. Nothing could stop her from savoring new experiences or forging new friendships. Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of those she loved and whose lives she touched. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Edwina (Kern) Walsh, and sister, Rachel Walsh. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Mullins, of 25 years; son, Michael Mullins; daughters, Sarah and Kaitlyn Mullins; sisters, Laura (Greg) Frank and Christine (Troy) Foster; brothers, Scott (Jan) Walsh, Jonathan (Roxanne) Walsh, and Michael (Brad Goertz) Walsh; numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Funeral services will be held at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 11a.m. with the Reverend Bob Cook officiating and will be livestreamed through the funeral home website Facebook Live Streaming . The family will receive friends on Friday, July 09, 2021 from 6-8p.m. The family would like to express its gratitude for the overwhelming support and kindness shown by their loved ones.
