Danny H. Smith

Danny H. Smith, age 51 of Massillon, passed away May 25, 2011 at Aultman Hospital. Danny was born on November 27, 1959 in Massillon to James L & Shirley M. (Grasse) Smith. He was a member St. Mary Catholic Church, the church choir, assisted with the St. Vincent de Paul Society, RCIA Program, CCD Program, K of C #445 and a member of the Massillon Lions Club. He took great personal delight to participate in the Lions Club Annual Show. Dan was preceded in death by his grand parents, Leon & Thelma Smith and Louis & Ora Grasse as well as his aunt, Judy Johr. He is survived by his parents, James & Shirley Smith; sister, Tammy R. Smith all of Massillon; many aunts and uncles, Howard & Betty Smith, Harold Smith, Ed & Linda Smith, Bob Smith, Carolyn Albrecht, Linda & Jerry Reamer, Elaine Ohm, Shirley & Terry Griffith and numerous cousins. Dan is also survived by a great uncle and aunts in Pennsylvania, Theodore & Libby Vitti, Julia Hayden, Dorothy Georgiana and many cousins in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Fr. Edward Gretchko will officiate. Friends may call 6-8 PM Friday (TONIGHT) at the Paquelet Funeral Home. Burial will be at East Union Lawn Cemetery. The Lions Club will have a service at 5:30 PM.
