Daniel Compan Jr., 60, of Massillon, passed away on May 26, 2025. Dan was born on April 24, 1965, in Massillon, Ohio, the son of the late Daniel and Kathryn (Stavroff) Compan Sr.
He was a meticulous carpenter, electrician, mechanic, and home restoration expert. He was also an accomplished musician and guitarist and started rehearsing at a young age in his parent’s basement or the Nagle family basement. His love of music had him playing out with friends for years and also in the band MuddKats. He loved restoring guitars, drum sets, and old cars.
He is survived by his son, Spencer Compan; sisters, Dana Hoyt, Danielle (Victor) Grimm, and Cheryl Rodgers; and a large family. He will be dearly missed by his sisters and special friends that were like brothers to him, Donnie Nagle his friend since kindergarten, Jerry Schoenfeld, Gordy Oliver, Dave Nodo, and many others.
