Cynthia Jo Gottfried

Cynthia Jo Gottfried, 60, of Massillon, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on September 4, 2026. She was born on February 15, 1966 in Massillon to the late Terry and Patricia Dray.

Cynthia was born and raised in Massillon, attending Washington High School. She loved her community and owned and operated "Sports Stuff" for many years. She was also involved in the Massillon Chamber of Commerce, and enjoyed assisting with vendors for the annual car show and other community events. She had many friends who she loved like family, and many animals who she cared for over the years. More than anything, Cynthia was devoted to the ones she loved- family or friends. She cared deeply, and will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, Cynthia is preceded in death by her sister, Dodie; and her step-mother, Cecily Dray.

She is survived by her husband, Randall "Randy" Gottfried; sons, Brad (Annika) Bruce and Nate (Allie Ranes) Bruce; step-son, Chase (Virginia) Gottfried; grandchildren, Keirah, Maizie, Natalie, Aiden, Liam and Zackery; sisters, Cathy and Melissa; and many nieces and nephews who she cared for deeply.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Friday, September 25, 2026 at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 4:00pm, with a celebration of life gathering to follow.
