Clifton L. Eldridge, a devoted family man and retired truck driver, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2026. Born on February 18, 1943, Clifton lived a life marked by dedication, humility, and a strong commitment to those he loved most. He was a cherished member of the Pentecostal Church of God, where his faith and fellowship brought him great comfort and joy.
Throughout his career, Clifton faithfully served as a truck driver, a profession through which he demonstrated tireless work ethic and reliability until his retirement. Beyond his professional life, his enduring passion was his family, whom he held dear above all else. His love and devotion touched the lives of many.
Clifton is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Eldridge, who shared his journey and stood by him through life’s many moments. He was a proud father to his sons, Clifton (Tammy) Eldridge, Jr., and Rodney (Allyson) Eldridge. He enjoyed being a grandfather to Joshua Eldridge, Aubrey Morel, Ian Eldridge, Gabriel Eldridge, and Brandon Eldridge. His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren, Corbin Eldridge, Jeremiah Eldridge, Carlie Seward, Kayla Seward, and Kylie Seward.
He is mourned by all who knew him and was preceded in death by his parents, Marrow and Cintha Eldridge; his brothers, Charlie, Carl, and Calvin Eldridge; and his sisters, Bonnie Spicer and Barbara Tachiera.
As we remember Clifton L. Eldridge, we cherish the memories of a man whose greatest pride was his family and whose faith sustained him throughout his life. His spirit and legacy will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him.
A visitation to honor Clifton’s life will be held on May 27, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, located at 1100 Wales Rd NE, Massillon, Ohio. A graveside service will immediately follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. This occasion will provide family, friends, and community members an opportunity to pay their respects and celebrate the life of a man who exemplified kindness, strength, and devotion.
