Claribel Schandel

Claribel J. Schandel age 90 of Massillon passed away Saturday February 25, 2006 at Meadow Winds Care Center. Claribel was born December 9, 1915 in Canton to the late Louis & Clara (Nieschwitz) Seikel. She was raised in Canton and lived most of her life in Perry Twp. She and her late husband Albert owned and operated a dairy farm for 40 years. She was a loving and caring person and will be remembered for her generosity to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Claribel was preceded in death by her husband Albert in 1991, a grandson, Daniel in 1976, sisters, Evelyn Balaun, Adelaide Hook and Rosalie Boerner, brothers Ralph, Rev. Paul, Louis, and Franklin Seikel. She is survived by: Daughter and son in law Patricia & Ronald Blogna of Massillon Sons and daughters in law Phillip & Linda Schandel of Massillon Maurice & Elaine Schandel of Lady Lakes, FL Grandchildren: Peter, Monica, Diane, John, Jennifer, Phillip, Christopher, Theresa, Brian, Deborah and Nicholas Great-Grandchildren Benjamin, Samuel, Dakota, Steven, Seth, Blake, Reese, Aaron, Logan, Abigail, Quinci, Kayla, J.D., Clare, Sophia, Noah, Megan, Loren, Emma and Samuel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Wednesday at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 PM Tuesday at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon.
