Cindy Walls

Cindy Rae Walls, 73, of Navarre, passed away on October 17, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on September 3, 1953 to James and Ferne Fraunberg in Sycamore, Illinois.

Cindy took great pride in becoming a nurse aid later on in life, a career which started from her time as a housekeeper. Her hard work and dedication in her classes ensured that she entered the field prepared and dedicated to her patients.

Cindy was an avid reader, often finishing a book in a day. She enjoyed tending to her flower beds, refinishing furniture, playing video games, and cross stitching. Cindy enjoyed motorcyle rides with whoever she could get on a bike, and especially loved going truck driving with her son.

Cindy is survived by her loving children, Larry (Jeanie) Lay, Christine Walls, Jimmy (Shelly) Walls, Jason (Amber) Walls, mother Ferne Boehne, 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, her special dog, Buddy, and many other family members.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Fraunberg, and husband Shelly Rush Walls.

Cindy will be greatly missed by her children, and they hope that she is proud of all they accomplished.
