Listen to Obituary

Cheryl Evans, 69, of Massillon, Ohio, passed away while on vacation with her beloved husband, Terry Evans. Though her passing was unexpected, she left this world doing what she loved—traveling alongside the person she cherished most.

Cheryl’s life was centered around her family. She shared a deep and devoted love with her husband Terry, and nothing brought her more joy than time spent with her daughter Casey Evans, her son TJ Evans, her daughter-in-law Jennifer Evans, and her treasured grandchildren Quinn, Ella, and Bodhi. While Cheryl loved traveling, family vacations, lively family dinners, and quietly working on puzzles, the true highlight of her life was being “Grandma.” Quinn, Ella, and Bodhi were the light of her world, and she poured her heart into loving and caring for them. She is also survived by her mother Patricia Rudy, sisters Crynn Kolleth, Christine Kennard, Cindy Chouris, and Carla Somogy, and many other family and friends.

A natural caretaker, Cheryl was the steady presence everyone leaned on—the rock who made others feel safe, supported, and loved. She gave endlessly of herself, often putting others’ needs before her own, and did so with warmth, patience, and grace. Her love was practical and constant, shown through small acts that made everyday life better for those around her.

Cheryl will be remembered for her kindness, her devotion to her family, and the quiet strength she carried with her every day. Her legacy lives on in the family she loved so fiercely and in the countless lives she touched simply by being herself.

She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
