Cayce K. Burkholder, born on July 11, 1954, peacefully departed this world on January 14, 2026 after a battle with cancer. A long-time member of the Massillon community, Cayce had a profound impact through her many roles at the Massillon City Schools for 20 years. Her unwavering dedication to education and support for students and staff were evident throughout her career.
Cayce graduated in 1972 from Jackson Memorial High School, where she likely laid the foundation for her lifelong commitment to learning and community engagement. Known for her warm presence and kind spirit, she was cherished by her family and friends alike. She loved her family deeply and was always willing to help those around her.
An avid bowler, Cayce was an enthusiastic participant in bowling leagues, where she not only honed her skills but also built lasting friendships. Other than bowling, she also enjoyed rooting for other sports teams such as the Cleveland Indians/Guardians, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Massillon Tigers. In her spare time, she enjoyed clipping coupons and sending them into the military - saving the military over 2.5 million dollars. Cayce was also a member of the Tupperware community for over 20 years.
Cayce is survived by her loving husband, Gary Burkholder, and her daughters, Amanda Burkholder and Elizabeth Burkholder.
