Carolyn H. Flamm

Carolyn H. Flamm, 91, passed away on May 26, 2025. She was born and raised in Ironton, Ohio by her parents, Edward and Helen Holschuh, along with her brothers, Edward and John.

She married Jay F. Flamm in 1956 and had four children: Kevin J. Flamm (Kaye Kroboth Flamm), Michael F. Flamm (Kristie Metzger Flamm), Teresa F. Smith (Greg D. Smith) and Ellen K. Flamm. Her family grew to include her 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Her marriage to Jay led her to live in many different parts of the country, including Virginia, Oklahoma, Colorado, West Virginia, Kentucky and finally Ohio.

Once the kids were all in school, mom enjoyed a long career as a legal secretary followed by working for Congressman Ralph Regula and at the National First Ladies’ Library. She was an active member of the local AARP chapter, the Massillon Women’s Club and St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church. She loved playing bridge with her many bridge groups and with her sons on the trickster app! She was a warm and loving wife, mother and friend with a tremendous sense of humor and loved a good joke. Her favorite times were when the grands and great-grands would come for visits and have Kraus’ double crust pizza. Any time with family was a good time.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at St. Timothy Episcopal Church (226 3rd St SE Massillon, OH 44646) from 10:00am to 11:00am. A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00am which will be livestreamed, and burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
