Carolyn Ruth Ehret

Carolyn Ruth Ehret, 92, of Massillon, passed away on January 10, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. 

She was born on September 14, 1932 to the late Herman and Ruth (Hemperly) Zepp in Massillon, OH. 

Carolyn was a graduate of Washington High School and Lake Erie College, where she was captain of the basketball team. She was a teacher at Smith Elementary School for over 20 years. A member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Elks, and Eagles, she enjoyed reading, swimming, knitting and playing cards. Carolyn dedicated her life to her family. She loved Sunday family dinners, summers at Turkey Foot Lake and started a family tradition of vacationing at Siesta Key.

Carolyn is survived by her loving son, Randy (Candi) Ehret; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Jason) Miller, Jessica (Carl) Pakish, Steven (Michelle) Ehret, Joe (Amber) Warstler, David (Jessica) Williams, and Trisha (Tony) Knode; great-grandchildren, Isaac, Madelyn, Derek, Elise, Blake, Jaxson, Hayden, Morgan, Roxy, Olen, Michael, and Maggie; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Joseph E. Ehret; daughter, Connie Warstler; twin brother, Franklin "Bud" Zepp; sisters, Barbara Farkas and Louise Smith.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 16, 2025, 6:00 pm - 7:30pm at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, Massillon, Ohio and on January 17, 2025 from 10:00 am-11:00 am at St Paul's Lutheran Church, where a funeral service will start at 11:00 am, Rev. Mark Kreemer officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
