Carl Edward Burger

Carl Edward Burger, 82, of Massillon, passed away on November 24, 2022 at Cleveland Metro. He was born on May 14, 1940 to the late George and Ruth (Schondel) Burger in Massillon, OH. He was a 1958 graduate of Central Catholic High School and served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Carl worked as a Millwright for Timken Steel Manufacturing and retired after 35 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming and most importantly spending time with his family. He was a member of St. Barbara's Catholic Church. He was a guy who could fix anything. Carl was know for his big heart and would help anyone in need.

Carl is survived by his brothers, Ernest J.(Shirley) Burger, Paul O. Burger and Dale A Burger; his sisters, Agnes J. Hane, Phyllis M. Kerr and his sister-in-law, Elaine Burger. In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his brothers John A. Burger, Joseph V. Burger and Raymond G. Burger.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St Barbara's Catholic Church on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at 10:30a.m. The Very Reverend Canon Father Matthew Mankowski will be officiating.   The family will recieve friends in the church narthex from 10a.m. until the time of the service.  The commital service will be at the Mausoleum Chapel at Calvary Cemetery.
