Briana Nicole Shinholster, 35, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, July 6th, 2025. Briana was born April 16th, 1990 in Massillon, Ohio to Renae Gardener and Christopher Shinholster.
Bri was a very talented person who loved to play basketball, volleyball and track in high school. She attended Massillon Washington High School and graduated in 2009. She enjoyed working as a home health care worker.
She had a very captivating smile, and was known to many as "Queen B”, “Big B”, and “Sweet Lipz”, just to name a few.
Bri has left us all way to soon, leaving behind the countless memories of her beautiful smile, contagious and hilarious laugh (IYKYK), and a very big and loving heart that loved harder than most. She was very known for her unique and honest spirit, and was always ready to help someone even if she didn’t have it for herself. Her generosity and compassion touched countless lives. She had a special gift that made us all feel seen and loved.
Bri was always trying to take care of someone as her career she was in the home health care field working with the MRDD and other special needs people. In her free time she loved to do makeup and she was always the dedicated babysitter for all her cousins, friends’ kids, her niece and nephew and she loved every second of it. She supported her brother and sister in every event they had she was always there and was their biggest supporter.
Briana is survived by her loving parents Renae Gardener and Christopher Shinholster. Bonus dads Eric Stephens and Edward Blue. Her siblings Kamionka (Christopher Jr.) Childs, Braelon Stokes and Christina Shinholster. Her Grandparents Annette Gardener (Darrel Hall), Alvin (Constance) Gardener, Vanessa Oden and special Maw Maw Margaret Pope. Her TT babies, as she said, nephew Christopher Childs III "Dooder", niece Kaisleigh Childs "Bubbles" and her God kids Savon Sankey and Riyon Jefferson. Special aunt Tanisha Thompson. Close friends/sisters Sarah Moustaris, Chyna “Annie” Brown, Onearla (Helen) Banks-Hardy "Moo-Moo" and Special Friend Marquis King. She also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other dear friends.
She is preceded in death by grandparents Irene (Morris) Hightower, Sylvester Smith, Robert (Roberta) Gardener, Agnes Shinholster. God Daughter Antonia Renesmae Mitchell, and bonus brother Mychal Clayton. Aunts Deborah Smith, Betty Smith and Gloria “Cookie” Smith. Uncles Al Pierce, Lawrence Smith and David Smith. Cousins Steven Rogers and D’Shawn Shinholster.
A Celebration of Life for Queen B will be held at Paquelet Funeral Home 1100 Wales Rd. NE Massillon, Ohio 44646. Visitation will be held on July 24th, 2025 from 10am - 12pm with services beginning at 12pm. Pastor Gaylin Phillips-Johnson will be officiating.
