Barbara J. Troyer

Barb went to be with her heavenly Father on July 8, 2025 after a fierce and brave fight with pancreatic cancer.

She was an unconditionally loving mother to Jason. She was am amazing sister to Pamela Pledgure (Marvin) and Joe Vogt, Jr. She was an exceptional and loyal friend to many. Special mention to Joleen D., Laura R., Drinda H., Lori B., and Sandi B.

Barb graduated from Massillon Washington High School where she played softball, basketball and track. She then went on to graduate from Kent State University where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology. She was employed by Mercy Medical for over 30 years. Barb loved sports- both watching and playing, especially softball and golf. Barb had the pleasure of coaching a winning season for the Dalton High School girl's softball team. She loved those girls! Barb had an immense love for all animals, nature, sunshine and being outdoors. She lit up like a Christmas tree when it was time to visit her very dear friends in FL- Drinda, Terry, Dee, Lynn, Jamie, and Bob. She felt peace and satisfaction doing lawn work, detailing cars, acrylic painting and refinishing furniture.

Our dearest Barb will be forever remembered for her relentless passion for helping others and seeing the very best in everyone.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 9:30am to 11:30 am on Friday, July 18, 2025 at Paquelet Funeral Home. Burial will follow at St. Barbara's Cemetery in Massillon. Please wear bright colors and be prepared to share a memory if you would like.
