Barbara Ann McCartney

Barbara Ann McCartney, 79, of Canton, Ohio, passed away on May 15, 2026. She was born on January 11, 1947 in Canton to the late Leonard Sr. and Wilma Hill.

Barbara attended Lincoln High School and later worked as a courier for U.S. Cargo. She was a hard-working, devoted mother with unshakable faith who cherished every opportunity to spend time with her family. Barbara loved taking trips with her mother, Wilma, to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, and camping at Berlin Lake. She was known for her love of bargain shopping - always finding the perfect gift for her loved ones, as well as the tremendous love she shared with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her son, Daniel McCartney; and her brother, Leonard Hill Jr..

She is survived by her beloved children, Duane (Melissa) Leininger Jr., Christopher (Becky) McCartney, Holly Martin, and Kelly (Samuel) Randall; step-children, Jeremy (Sara) McCartney and Danielle McCartney; grandchildren, Faryn Blasio, Adam Clark, Rich Tovissi II, Taylor Truax, Mackenzie Anderson, Ryan Leininger, Madison McCartney, Kayla McCartney, Haley Leininger and Serena Schueller; 9 great-grandchildren; siblings, Gloria Hawthorne-Leeson, Tom (Cheryl) Hill, and Diane (Bob) Radtka; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, Saturday, May 30, 2026 at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home.
