Barbara J. Bartchy

Barbara J. Bartchy, age 92, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 9, 2025. 

Barbara was born on August 5th, 1933, in Canton, OH to the late Howard and Hilda Koontz. 

Barbara worked in the Education Industry as a Third Grade Teacher in Massillon City Schools. An early start allowed for an early retirement, and Barbara retired at the young age of 52. Barbara also served as a volunteer for many years for the Wilderness Center. 

In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her late husband, Harold Bartchy and three siblings. 

Visitation will take place on Friday, August 15th, 2025 from 10:30am to 11:30am at the Paquelet Funeral Home, 1100 Wales Rd. NE., Massillon, OH 44646. A graveside service will immediately follow in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens on Frank Rd. of North Canton.
