Annette Lachelle Benjamin

Annette Lachelle Benjamin, 64, of Canton, passed away on February 20, 2025 at The Pines Healthcare Center. She was born on February 10, 1961 to the late Ivory and Delores {Hudson} Benjamin.

In addition to her parents, Ivory & Delores (Hudson) Benjamin, Annette was preceded in death by her granddaughter Destiny Benjamin, sister Angie Benjamin, grandmother Ora Lee Benjamin and father Ivory Benjamin. 

Annette is survived by her loving daughter, Kim (Anthanee) Benjamin; son, Mike (Kristy) Jabbaar; six grandchildren, Imani (Cedric) Edwards, LePear Toles, Kwuasy Toles, Araya Hewitt, Khalil & Mya Jabbaar; five great-granchildren, Mi’Auni, Hailo and Lynx Edwards, LaZora Stinson and Ryder Grant; sisters, Sabrina Brinson, Christine Pullin and Felecia Smith; brother Todd Brinson; special cousins Christopher & Candice Benjamin, Terri Hill; special friend, Joe Roberson, Michelle Mitchell & Alane Allen; significant other Terry Copeland. She also leaves behind to cherish her memory a host of special nieces and nephews, family members and friends.

Annette was a 1979 Washington High School graduate. She also received several certifications from Stark Technical College in the area of Education in Healthcare, in addition to working at Century 21 for years. She also worked at MCA signs and in healthcare. 

In her free time, Annette loved to cook, clean & listen to gospel music. Annette was better known to others as "Nette". She would help anybody and everybody that came to her door, and she never met a stranger. Nette was described as sweet & kind by everyone that crossed her path. 

Per Nette's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a celebration of her life will be held for her family & friends on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at the American Legion, 427 Lincoln Way E Massillon, Ohio 44646, between the hours of 4pm-8pm in the Fireplace Room (please use Ramp Entrance).
