Anna Tennant

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Anna Mae Tennant (Gayheart), who departed this life on January 2, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on November 28, 1938, Anna dedicated many years of her life to serving others, working diligently at Aultman Hospital in the Central Sterile Processing Department until her well-deserved retirement. Anna also attended North Industry Christian Church in Canton where she found comfort.

She was a cherished wife to her loving husband of 67 years, Robert Oran Tennant, and a nurturing mother to her children: Oran Eugene Tennant, Robert Lee Tennant, Kimberly Ann Johnson, and Angela Sue Tennant. Anna's legacy continues through her six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, whose lives she touched with her compassion and guidance.

She also is survived by her sister, Phyllis Gayheart who held a special place in her heart. Anna will be missed not only by her immediate family but also by the many nieces, nephews, and cousins who were fortunate to know her warmth and kindness.

She is preceded in death by her father, Leonard Gayheart, and her mother, Marie Gayheart (Hall). Anna was also preceded by her sisters, Katherine Moser, Betty Randazzo, and Freda Tersigni. Their memories live on through the stories and love shared within the family.

Anna Tennant leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and the enduring bonds of family that will be cherished by all who knew her. As we remember her life, we celebrate the joy she brought to those around her and the many lives she influenced with her unwavering spirit.
