Alice Faye Stanko

Together Again

Alice Faye Stanko (Mann), age 86, born May 14, 1940 in Burbank, Ohio died peacefully at home after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her daughters, on August 11, 2026. Her presence will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to know her.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gerry Stanko (1941-2008). Parents Clarence and Emma Mann. Her siblings, John, Donald, Charles, Barbara, Luvie, Dorothy and Linda. Son-in-law, Tim Daniels. 

She is survived by her siblings, Lois and Walter. Daughter and caregiver, Debby Daniels, Brenda (Pat) Giron, Kelly (Mike) Jones, and Suzi (Steve) Leugers. 7 grandchildren, and holding a uniquely close and special bond with her granddaughter,Taylor Raye Daniels. 9 great grandchildren, with a 10th expected in April of 2027. Many nieces and nephews. Special family friends, Bob and Mona Findley.

Alice was a retired school bus driver for 22 years (1982-2004). She loved driving the students, athletes, teachers and coaches to school and sporting events. To this day many of her former bus riders still remember her when they would see her around town. Her hobbies included gardening and bird watching. She especially loved going to the beaches of Florida with her husband and family. She spent many years vacationing at Mari-Dor Beach on Lake Erie in Vermilion, Ohio. In the most recent years, she vacationed there with her daughters, Brenda, Debby and Suzi. She spent many years traveling to Tennessee to visit her daughter Debby and her family, making many friends there as well. She especially loved dancing, and all kinds of music. She had a great sense of humor, always had us laughing and was definitely the life of every party.

All are invited to attend the following services. A visitation will be held on August 20, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, located at 1100 Wales Rd NE in Massillon, Ohio. This will be followed by the funeral service from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the same location. Following these, a graveside service will take place on the same day from 2:15 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Seville, Ohio.
