Vanessa A. "Vicki" Kufta, 57, passed away at home, following an extended illness. She was born in Bethesda, MD on September 12, 1956 and raised by her loving parents, the late John & Catherine Rose (Lehotay) Masalko. Vicki graduated from Central Catholic High School and then earned her associates degree from Stark State. She retired from Rite Aid Pharmacy after forty years of employment. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, and the McKinley Eagles. She enjoyed her family and friends. Vicki's adventurous spirit took her on many adventures. Her sense of humor and loving spirit will be missed by all. Vicki is survived by her daughter Sarah Kufta of Canton; four sisters Joan Moran, Marian (Dale) Vick, Martha Wojtowicz and Gloria (Ted) Venet all of Canton; two brothers John (Sharon) Masalko and Steve (Mary) Masalko both of Canton; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends and family may call on Friday, February 14, 2014 from 6:00PM-8:00PM at the Paquelet Funeral Home, Massillon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church on Saturday at 10:00AM, Fr. David Weikart, Celebrant. Inurnment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family suggest memorial contributions be made to help defer medical expenses.
