Robert V. Masters Jr.

Robert V. Masters Jr., age 73, of Beach City passed away on January 23, 2006. He was born on May 17, 1932 in Canton to the late Robert Sr. & Tina (Cross) Masters. He proudly served our country in the Korean War through the Army National Guard & also served in the Marines. He later became a noted professional optician where he worked in the field for 30 years. Robert joined Ruth Schermerhorn in marriage on June 1, 2001. He was a member of the VFW, the Moose Lodge in Navarre, & belonged to the Tusco R/C flying club. Robert was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. He is preceded in death by his parents & his first wife, Delores Mae Masters. Survived by; Wife Ruth A. (Schermerhorn-Klotz) Masters of Beach City 3 sons Darrin & Suzanne Masters of Colorado David Masters of Monroeville, Ohio Daniel Masters of California 2 step-daughters Dana Rohrer of Canton Leah & Scott Hare of Navarre 2 step-sons David & Stacy Klotz of Beach City Kenneth Klotz of Navarre 2 brothers Clarence & Genie Masters of Canton Bill & Marie Masters of South Carolina 1 Grandchild 12 Step-Grandchildren 3 Step- Great Grandchildren A funeral service will be held on Friday at 10:30 A.M the Paquelet Funeral Home in Navarre. Friends may call one hour before the service & from 6 to 8 P.M. on Thursday evening at the funeral home. The burial will take place at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Norwalk, Ohio on Saturday at noon.
