Rebecca Mae Olenzak, age 66 of Clinton, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at Barberton Citizens Hospital. She was born in Massillon on May 5, 1944 and was the daughter of the late Martin and Dorothy Mae (McConnell) Matejko. Rebecca graduated from Washington High School in 1962, she then went on to earn her Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology from The Ohio State University in 1967. She enjoyed cooking for her family. On March 23, 1963, she married John Robert Olenzak who survives. Their marriage brought about two children, Sigmund K. (Yvonne) Olenzak and Martha Elizabeth (Jon) Klusti all of Wadsworth, OH. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Alyssa and Zack Olenzak and Danica, Jonathan and Jacob Klusti, her great granddaughter Arianna, her sister Martha E. Kropf of Atlanta, GA and her brother Rev. Edd (Judy) Matako of Massillon. A service to celebrate her life will take place on Thursday at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. with her brother Rev. Edd Matako officiating. Cremation will follow. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8 P.M. and on Thursday one hour before the service.
