Major Jeffrey D. Warstler, Jr., United States Army, 39 passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2013 following an extended illness. He was surrounded by his loving family. Jeff was a graduate of Tuslaw High School, Class of 1993, received his B.A. in English from Miami University, M. A. in Human Resources from Boston University, and his M.B.A. from Weber State University. He was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and the V.F.W.. Jeff was dedicated to his family and his country. He joined the United States Marine Corps, and after his years of service entered the United States Army. He served two tours of duty in Iraq. His latest assignment before falling ill was at the Pentagon. Survivors include his wife, Jana Warstler; his parents, Jeff and Lydia Warstler; his brother, David (Michelle Trudell) Warstler of Portsmouth, NH; his sister, Elizabeth (Joe) Combs. He is also survived by his grandmother, Sis Mast; nephew, Carson; niece, Annabelle; three special aunts, Cornelia Warstler, Brenda Barnhouse, and Barbara Krotky, seven other aunts and uncles and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry D. Mast and Vernon and Ellen Warstler. Friends may call at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 from 5:00PM-8:00PM and on Thursday, October 10, 2013 from 9:30AM-10:30AM. A Military funeral will be held at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 10:30AM, Pastor Timothy Mishler, officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
