James R. Crawford

James R. Crawford, 80 passed away on April 28, 2015. He was born on October 11, 1934 in Zanesville to the late Robert C. Crawford and Esther (Frazier) Wirth. James owned and operated Crawford Fuel and Oil retiring in 2004. A conservationist at heart, he loved to camp, fly-fish and travel with his family. He was veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of St. Barbara's Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Martha (Triner) Crawford, whom he married on May 12, 1956; their children, Hank (Denise) Crawford of North Lawrence, Mark (Lisa) Crawford of Beach City, Molly (John) Phillips of Warsaw and Kate (Curt) West of Stone Creek; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Richard Crawford. Friends and family may call at St. Barbara"s Catholic Church on Friday, May 1, 2015 from 8:30AM -10:00AM with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00AM, Fr. Brian Cline, Celebrant.
