F. Ray Romans, Sr.

F. Ray Romans Sr., age 62 of Massillon passed away September 2, 2012. Ray was born April 21, 1950 to the late Homer & Hilda (Miller) Romans. He has lived in Massillon since 1968 and worked for 25 years at the Massillon Park Department Ray will be remembered as a good man, who kept his friends close. He helped many. Two brothers preceded him in death: Johnson & Randy Romans. Ray is survived by his wife of 35 years, Shauna (Lackey) Romans; two sons, Ray Jr. and Brian Romans; four sisters and two brothers: Nera (David) McManus, Pamela 'Pat' Palaski, Opal (George) Snyder, Deborah (David) Davis, Homer and Curtis Romans. Ray has four grandchildren: Lauren Christopher, Ashley Romans, Patience Romans, and Storm Romans. He loved and respected his in-laws; Claude and Norma Lackey. A Celebration of Ray's Life will be Thursday at 2:30 PM at the Paquelet Funeral Home. Friends may call from 1 PM until 2:30 PM. Burial will follow at Massillon Cemetery.
