Elizabeth M. Tombow

Elizabeth M. (Slabaugh) Clapper Tombow, 89, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.

She was born July 1, 1934, to the late Joseph and Anna (Yoder) Slabaugh. She was blessed to be #11 in a family of 15 children.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughter Anna M. (Bill) Lanham; grandsons William D. (Diamond) Lanham, III and Shane Slingluff; granddaughter Tiffany Slingluff; several great grandchildren and two siblings Harold (Helen) Slabaugh and Dorothy Brown.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her spouses Maurice C. Clapper, Sr., and James Tombow; son Maurice C. Clapper, Jr.; daughter Sherrie L. Slingluff; grandsons Eric S. Powell and Jimmy Slingluff; great grandson Cody Schnur and 12 siblings.

Her daughter Ann would like to give special thanks to the staff of Danbury Senior Living Massillon for their patience and care.

In keeping with Elizabeth’s wishes, there will be no services.

I am finally at peace that has eluded me all my years.

My soul is finally at rest and there is no more need for tears.

Try to remember me and my life.

Try to forgive me for all the strife.

In your memory, I live on.

No more pain, the fear is gone.
