Dr. Henry Thomas Hudson, born January 13, 1932 in Hebburn-on-Tyne, England, went to be with the Lord on December 11, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Shirley, and three children: Bruce, Joan, Linda; seven grandchildren, Jerry Beall, Richard Hudson, Nancy Hudson, Sarah Horne, Jake Gauze, Hope Gauze and Matthew Lower; twelve great grandchildren; and brother Brian. As a child Henry survived the Nazi Blitz in London. Later as a teenager, he was the runner-up in The Great Britain Billiards Championship, and also Teenage Great Britain Snooker Champion. Shortly after this he became a believer in Jesus Christ at seventeen years of age. He was conscripted into the Royal Military Police and served in Trieste, Italy in charge of the Anti-Vice Squad. After his service, he immigrated to the USA, attended the Milwaukee Bible Institute where he met his wife, Shirley. He recieved his Bachelor of Arts from Malone College; Mastor of Arts from Kent State University; All but Dissertation from The University of Akron; Master of Divinity from The Chicago Graduate School of Theology; Doctor of Divinty from The American Christian College. He also attended The University of Perugia, Italy, and The University of London. Henry, with his wife and family, did evangelistic work in Europe, pastored various churches, and was the founding pastor of Calvary Chapel in Massillon, Ohio where he served many years. Since retirement, he has served as Interim Pastor in several states; has been a guest speaker in many churches and conferences across the USA and Europe. Dr. Hudson started an outreach ministry with the primary purpose of giving testimony to the gospel of the grace of God through a written ministry, publishing dozens of books.
