Andrew Yacko Jr.

Andrew Yacko, Jr. age 86 of Canton, passed away Saturday morning at Aultman Hospital. He was born on February 18, 1922 in Massillon to the late Andrew and Nellie (Elvasky) Yacko, Sr. Andrew was a WWII United States Navy Veteran serving as a boatmens mate. He retired as a self employed realtor. Andrew was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Massillon. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister Nellie Flickinger. He is survived by a daughter, Kristi Young of Massillon; sisters, Mildred Samsa and Ann Suite both of Massillon; nieces and nephews, Robert Samsa of Canal Fulton, Gayle Patton of Big Prairie, Judith and David Flickinger of Massillon and one granddaughter. Memorial services celebrating Andrew’s life will be held Wednesday, January 7 at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Lutheran Church with Rev. John Telloni officiating.
