Aftercare
Holding a funeral or memorial service for your loved one is a positive first step in the grieving process. Family members and friends get a chance to say their goodbyes and, at the same time, they get to share strong feelings with one another.
In the days, weeks, and months following the service, people continue to need others to lean on for understanding, encouragement, and guidance. For that reason, many local and national support groups have formed. These groups provide a common place and a comforting environment for expressing emotions through each phase of the grieving process. Contact us for more information.
Need Help Coping With a Loss?
For the benefit of individuals who appreciate extra support in coping with a loss, Paquelet Funeral Homes and Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home maintains strong relationships with many community support groups and grief counselors. We also offer our own support group called the Hopeful Journey Grief Support Group. This group meets annually and is sponsored by Paquelet Funeral Homes, and the Massillon Community Hospital. Please call at any time for information or referrals.
We know that the holidays can be very difficult following the loss of a family member. The first Saturday of December each year we offer our Holiday Remembrance Service for those in our community who have suffered a loss. This non-denominational, candle lighting service is designed to assist families through this difficult time. It is followed by a social gathering with refreshments, pre-tasted by Joe & Glenn and served by our staff. |
